Upgrade you noob!

The newest version of UMC is great if you're using only UMC plugins. As soon as you run a script it is totally fucked. At least on windows xp and vista. Brought it to Uda's attention, he didn't seem to mind. Told me to killall and just run UMC and plugins and it worked. Had another friend running the newest version and the program was running 80k memoray and building more and more the longer it ran. Emerald had the same issue but had a friend that knew how to program and was able to fix...UMC, not his scripts.

I really like UMC, but it really bugged me.

Not true it was the fucked up plugins you were using, not UMC that was at fault.
UMC is not bugged and neither are the scripts, just baddly made plugins.

Which poorly made plugins would you be talking about?

Nemesis 01-14-2009 03:45 AM

I'm guessing to him, any plugin not made by Uda himself is made poorly but in all honesty, he hasn't made any public plugins so I don't see how he can criticize other peoples work w/o proof. It could be one of many things.

Yea, exactly what I thought. I use the plugins that are available to me. And to be 100% honest I think they're great.

And they work with the version of UMC that I'm running now, why I have not upgraded my UMC.

In all honesty, you should try keeping your UMC up to date, what i do when a new update comes out is rename the existing umc.jar to lets say, umc-1.14.jar then move the new one into place, or just zip up the entire directory as a backup. That way anything goes wrong you can revert back.

Keeping up to date w/ umc fixes many bugs in the client and hopefully improves performance at the same time. I try to keep all the plugins 100% compatible w/ the current version of UMC.

Actualy that makes UMC sound buggy, its not.
Most major (Yellow Bar) updates actualy contain improved functionality for people like Nemesis who make plugins to work with it, any fast updates thereafter are usualy tweaking that new functionality.
