Hi all. This is my first post and I need a little help. I am a level 33 Black Drake Valkyrie with about 9000 platinum. I want to "ENHANCE" my character a bit and need some suggestions on how to spend it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also I would like to know when I go into a fight should I start with "Rage" or "Bash"

hi darmestres. Welcome to nodeka. Well i won't recommend enhancing. as it take more platinums as a normal training would.
I recommend you to remortalize to the third tier as it'll give you more spells/skills and as well increase your stats. Plus you'll be able to purchase crafted eq. When at the 3rd tier then start to train, unless you have a disgustingly pile of plats to spend..well then you can go enhance :P I'm not a pro in valkyrie, so imo stats to train in terms of priority would be speed, willpower, dexterity, agility, strength, constit ution, wisdom, and last intellect. I might be wrong but that's what i think it should be. ________ No2 Review Last edited by grimm; 03-10-2011 at 02:54 AM. |

Hi Darmestres.
I'm no pro either, but with the recent change, I'd prioritise Dexterity over Speed(unless Dexterity is already 50% higher than Speed, base+race, not including eq), otherwise you're wasting the bonus attacks from Speed anyway. |

Thanks to both of you. You've been most helpful.

I would not prioritize dex over speed. I don't think the speed bonus attacks are wasted at all, and my own gear reflects that. Without using either antei, I play with over 180 speed more than dexterity. The effect of the hit/dam penalty for speed in excess of dexterity (SIEOD) is largely overblown in my experience.

True. I guess the other side of the coin is that when they remort, song of striking/ruin should provide a quick boost for however many rounds, negating the penalty anyway.
